What makes Aura Studios different from other studios in Yorkshire?
Aura Studios is positioned as the premium offering in South Yorkshire, distinguished by Sony Cinema Line 4K cameras in every room, fully customisable professional lighting, broadcast-quality audio, and the Aura Lounge experience built into every session. The studio was designed not just to be a room with equipment, but to deliver a high-end, seamless experience from arrival to departure. The founders built Aura with a specific intent to set a new standard, not simply match existing options.

Facilities
What equipment do professional podcast studios use?
At Aura Studios, every room is equipped with three Sony Cinema Line 4K cameras, fully customisable professional lighting, and industry-leading audio equipment including broadcast-quality microphones and acoustic treatment. Sony Cinema Line cameras are used in professional film and broadcast production, delivering a level of image quality far beyond standard consumer or prosumer cameras.
What cameras does Aura Studios use?
Aura Studios uses Sony Cinema Line 4K cameras as standard across all three recording rooms. Three cameras are positioned in every studio: a wide shot capturing the full set and two close-up shots on each participant. Sony Cinema Line is a professional broadcast and film camera range, chosen for its cinematic image quality, colour science, and the level of production value it delivers in a podcast setting.
What does a purpose-built studio mean compared to a converted room?
A purpose-built studio is designed from the ground up for content production. This means acoustic treatment built into the walls and ceiling, lighting positioned specifically for camera angles, camera mounts optimised for the seated format, and a layout that supports solo, interview, and panel configurations. Aura Studios was not a converted office or spare room. Every element was planned around how professional content is produced and what the final output needs to look and sound like.
Is there parking at Aura Studios?
Yes. Free on-site parking is available at Aura Studios. The studio is located at Mandale Business Park, Rotherham, five minutes from junction 33 of the M1. EV charging facilities are also available on site, making it straightforward to access by car from across South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, the East Midlands, and Greater Manchester.

What is the Aura Partner Programme?
The Aura Partner Programme is a monthly rolling membership at £700 per month that includes 4 x 2-hour studio sessions per month, the ability to book any room for any session, and access to the Aura exclusive studio training library. It carries no long-term obligation and can be cancelled at any time. Members save approximately £300 per month compared to booking four sessions in the 4-person studio at standard rates.
What is the Aura Residency and how does it work?
The Aura Residency is a longer-term commitment tier for creators fully committed to their content and brand. It includes everything in the Partner Programme plus 48-hour early calendar access, 10% off all production extras, and the ability to request an expert studio session once per month. Available on quarterly, 6-month, and annual terms: Quarterly is £1,620 (£135 per session, 46% off). Six-month is £2,880 (£120 per session, 52% off). Annual is £4,800 (£100 per session, 60% off). The Residency is limited to 15 members.
Is it cheaper to buy my own podcasting equipment or use a studio?
Building a home studio to match Aura's specification requires three Sony Cinema Line 4K cameras, professional lighting rigs, acoustic treatment, broadcast microphones and preamps, and the technical knowledge to operate and maintain all of it. The capital cost is significant and the ongoing maintenance is considerable. For most business owners and creators, studio hire is more cost-effective on a per-episode basis and removes every technical burden, allowing you to focus entirely on the content.
Output & ROI
How many pieces of content can I get from one studio session at Aura Studios?
From a single 2-hour session, a business can produce one full-length video podcast episode for YouTube, an audio-only export for podcast platforms, multiple short-form clips for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts, and thumbnail and cover art assets. With the right post-production package, a single session generates content that can be distributed across every major platform simultaneously.
Can a podcast actually help me generate leads for my business?
Yes. A business podcast builds authority, demonstrates expertise, and creates a body of content that generates inbound enquiries over time. Episodes that answer the specific questions your buyers are already asking position you as the go-to resource in your space, and AI search tools increasingly surface podcast and video content in response to research queries. The businesses seeing the most benefit from podcasting are those treating it as a long-term lead generation and trust-building asset.
How quickly can I get my edited episode back after recording at Aura Studios?
Aura Studios post-production is designed to deliver a fully edited episode ready for release within 48 hours of your session. Short-form content for social media, audio-only exports, and graphic assets are all available as part of the post-production offering and are produced to the same turnaround standard.
Process
What happens when I arrive for my session at Aura Studios?
On arrival, your room will already be set up, lit, and ready to record. The Aura Lounge is available throughout your session for refreshments and preparation time. If you have booked an in-studio producer, they will be present from the start to handle all technical management. The aim is that you can focus entirely on your content from the moment you walk in. There is no setup time, no equipment to configure, and no technical decisions to make.
Do I need a producer in the studio with me or can I manage it myself?
Aura Studios is designed for independent use. Every room is fully set up on arrival so you can plug in and record without technical assistance. For those who want to elevate their session, an in-studio producer is available as an optional add-on to handle setup adjustments, manage the cameras, and ensure everything runs smoothly throughout. The choice is made at the point of booking with no obligation either way.
Common Questions
What is the difference between a video podcast and a standard audio podcast?
A standard podcast is audio-only, distributed through platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts. A video podcast captures the same content on camera, producing both audio for podcast platforms and video for YouTube and social media. A video podcast session generates more content from the same recording time and allows for short-form clip extraction, making it significantly more versatile as a content format and far more effective as a business growth tool.
Should I just record my podcast at home? What is the difference?
Home recordings carry significant limitations: background noise, poor acoustic treatment, inconsistent lighting, and the absence of multi-camera setups. These create a ceiling on production quality that is very difficult to break through with consumer-grade equipment. A purpose-built studio like Aura delivers broadcast-quality results that home setups cannot replicate, without requiring you to understand the technical side. The difference is audible and visible in the final content.
How often should I be recording to grow my podcast?
Consistency is the most important factor in podcast and content growth. Most successful business podcasters publish at least weekly. The Aura Partner Programme is structured around 4 sessions per month, which supports a weekly release schedule and provides a production rhythm without requiring you to own or manage a studio. Members who record regularly on a fixed schedule build audience habits faster than those who record sporadically.
